Will they have what they need?

“If there’s no money in a family for food,

certainly there’s no money for new school supplies.”

-Judy Stamps, director of Kids In Need

Kids in Need

Thankfully, the Food Bank’s Kids In Need project has a solution. Courtney Russell of Ed S. Cook Elementary School (pictured above) is one of hundreds of public school teachers in the metro area receiving a bounty of brand new school supplies from Kids In Need as they gear up for the school year. This means thousands of metro students will have what they need as they head back to school! Want to learn more about Kids in Need? Read “Food Bank answers school bell” on ajc.com.

While we’re on the subject of education ...

Hunger 101 StudentsDid you know the Food Bank has an educational program that dispels common myths about domestic hunger and poverty? Hunger 101 is free of charge and offers a variety of courses designed specifically for different groups and ages. We can host your group here at the Food Bank or our instructors can come to you. Email hunger101@acfb.org to book your group or click here to learn more about Hunger 101.
