On Sunday, April 28, the Cascade Homeless Ministry will be participating in the annual Hunger Walk Run. This event is one of the most important hunger relief efforts of the year for the Atlanta Community Food Bank. As you read this, thousands of Federal workers and Contractors are relying on churches, the generosity of friends/family and the Food Bank to eat. The money we raise will help the Ministry feed the homeless in shelters, workers temporarily on furlough, senior Citizens and children that normally receive free lunch during the school year in our "Smart Lunch Smart Kids" Summer Feeding Program.
Please join me in supporting this important mission! You can help us reach our personal fundraising goal by making a donation, and/or take the next step against hunger by walking/running with me on April 28th. Remember, no donation is too small!
Together, we can make sure that families and the homeless in our community don’t go to bed hungry tonight. We can offer a glimmer of hope to struggling parents desperately trying to make ends meet for their family. We can ensure another senior citizen isn’t forced to choose between paying for medicine or food.
Thank you so much, and I hope to see you at the Hunger Walk Run!
